What we do
La Greca Research is a research firm run by Ashley Churchill and Layne Russell. Through qualitative and quantitative research, we help you understand your customers, your market, and your people. We use that understanding to support businesses with their marketing, product, CX, and HR strategy.
We partner in two ways: directly with brands, and behind the scenes with the agencies and consultants who need research for their own clients. We work across B2B and B2C, from SMB to enterprise, in any industry.
What it means to be human-centered
Working with real people
We talk to the actual humans you're trying to understand. No synthetic samples, no fraudulent AI respondents. Real researchers design your study and analyze your data. We don't outsource our expertise to a model or hand you AI slop.
Using technology thoughtfully
We're not against technology. We use it every day, and the right tools help us understand people faster and in more detail. But we only reach for them when they bring you closer to the people you're trying to understand, never when they put you or your participants at risk, train someone else's model on your data, or add needless risk to the research process.
Obligations to our participants
Participants trust us with detailed, often personal views into their work and their lives. We take that seriously, and it's often where the best insights come from. We represent their perspectives to our clients fully, without watering them down.
Obligations to our clients
Our clients make real decisions with our research, and we want them to be good ones. We go past delivering findings: we make sure you leave understanding your audience, with concrete direction on where to take your strategy.
Our Name
La Greca is slang for the stovetop moka pot, or cafetera, the little espresso maker sitting on stovetops in kitchens around the world. People have made coffee a hundred different ways over the years, but it always starts with the beans. Without them, there's nothing to brew. Research works the same way. Tools and methods come and go. It always comes back to the people.
